Summer update
on IPY

The International Polar Year (IPY) International
Programme Office has started a quaterly newsletter. The aim is
to provide you with updates on IPY activities throughout IPY
2007-2008.
The first edition is focused on
- review processes and endorsement
of projects within Science (168 projects), Education and Outreach
(49 projects) and Data Management (1 project). The formal review
process for submitting full coordinated proposals has ended
by now.
- data management. A workshop was held in March
2006 at the British Antarctic Survey to discuss how to ensure
that all IPY data are captured and readily available.
- Education
and outreach activities. A renewal of the IPY
website is underway.
