Belgium’s Antarctic research station:
In 2004, the Belgian government commissioned the International
Polar Foundation (IPF) to design and construct a new
research base in Antarctica, to become operational during
the International Polar Year. After its construction the base
will be maintained and operated by Belgian Federal Science
Policy Office (BELSPO).

Here you can find an overview
of Arctic and Antarctic campaigns to which the Belgian scientists participated
or will participate. It gives information on the dates, the
research zone, the host vessel or station, the Belgian participants
and the goal of the campaign.
