Scientist presentation Sterken, Mieke Mieke is involved in the HOLANT project, which mainly focuses on Holocene climate changes in coastal Antarctic regions, in relation to regional ice-sheet/glacier dynamics, and to the diversity of primary producers in Antarctic coastal lakes. Mieke is focusing on the reconstruction of past climate changes in Antarctic Peninsula and Maritime Antarctic coastal lakes, using biological proxies in lake-sediment cores. Activities
