Castermans, Thierry
PhD student

Born in 1977 in Brussels. Master’s degree in Physics at UMH (2000) and in Astrophysics, Geophysics and Spatial Sciences at ULg (2002). Currently PhD student at UMH (track reconstruction improvement and ultra high energy analysis) and monitoring coordinator of the AMANDA detector. Worked during the 2004-2005 season at South Pole for the calibration of AMANDA. Also involved in physics outreach activities (“Printemps des Sciences”, design and presentation of physics experiments for secondary schools, articles in the review of the astronomy club at UMH).
