Research project CC/003 (Research action CC)
The (agro)industrial fungi and yeasts collection BCCM/MUCL contains around 22,000 fungi and 2,000 yeasts. All major groups are represented, and in particular Zygomycetes, Ascomycetes, Hyphomycetes and Basidiomycetes, including many strains of ecological, agricultural or industrial importance.
The (agro)industrial fungi and yeasts collection BCCM/MUCL forms part of a consortium of service-providing collections, the Belgian Co-ordinated Collections of Micro-organisms, which also includes the biomedical fungi/yeasts collection BCCM/IHEM, the bacteria collection BCCM/LMG and the plasmids collection BCCM/LMBP.
