The aim of the SALIPAE project is to develop an information and communication tool for those operating in the extracurricular reception sector. The partners, Badje, Dokeos and IDJ, found that this tool, which has taken the form of an Internet gateway, was the most appropriate way of lightening the administrative burden of those in charge of reception structures, networking childcare professionals, and providing access to information of use to the players in the sector.

Specifically, the gateway enables the reception operators to present their activities, publish news information (open days, training, conferences, etc.) and advertise job vacancies. The organisers in turn can circulate their CVs, and will soon be able to consult and add to a management tools database. Finally, a host of legislative-type information is also accessible: legal texts relating to the sector, legislation on contracts of employment, the voluntary sector, etc.

This information is also accessible to parents, who can also look for activities for their children (from those entered by the operators) Finally, they also have access to other data: advice on good reception for their children, details of extracurricular reception coordinators, links with the sites of operators, administrations, political authorities… This information is also available to professionals.
The site also has the long term ambition of putting the professionals in contact with each other and with parents, via interactive tools, in the same way as a forum.
