Research project NO/B/012 (Research action NO)
1. Evaluation of the CEN 11-15 and 20-21 TC-233 pre-standards for monitoring GMOs and the characterization of "Novel Feed and Food" products to establish Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) jointly with a group of experts assembled for standardization. To design a standardization and Novel Feed/Food/Additives database to be made available via the SBB Biosafety Internet server.
2. The technical assessment of molecular detection methods for monitoring GMOs and characterizing novel feed and food products (for example, PCR, RAPD, Northern and Southern hybridations)
3. Formulating proposals to the authorities concerned for the implementation of these pre-standards in European and Belgian law.
