OBJECTIVES.
Research on the methodology of materials characterization. Characterization of structure and composition on the macroscopical, microscopical and submicroscopical level of natural and technological materials.
THEME.
Development of the methodologies for the chemical and physical microscopical and submicroscopical characterization of materials, including the study of the foundations of these methods, of their calibration and of the interpretation of their results. Characterization of specific types of high technology materials (neoceramics, high Tc superconductors, polymers with special optical or magnetic properties, microscopical particles and microscopical inclusions, thinlayers and multilayers, fullerenes).
