Research project PE/FI/08 (Research action PE)
The "Finance" resource centre was established under the "Public Economy" research programme within the Service d'Etudes et de Documentation. Its objectives are :
1. to collaborate in work under way within the Service d'Etudes et de Documentation and the fiscal administration towards improving existing statistics, notably as concerns corporate taxes,
2. to construct two databases, one on households and one on companies, as described below,
3. to produce, on the basis ok these data, the models required for their use in calculating the impact of tax reform measures,
4. to make these data available to outside users, provided the access procedures respect the confidentiality requirements of the administrations.
In fulfilling its objectives, the resource centre will see to it that the users are consulted and involved as much as possible.
