Registration and evaluation of individual radiation exposure in the phosphate industry and among plasterers

Research project PS/05 (Research action PS)

Persons :

Description :

Considering the great variability of radon concentrations in various locations, it is necessary to have a sensitive, easy-to-use radon personal dosimeter in order to study the exposure of employees to natural radiation sources. The purpose of this study is to calibrate an entirely new type of dosimeter, test it under controlled circumstances, and then use it routinely in various workplaces. Along with radon concentration, attention is also devoted to dust pollution during work. These studies will make it possible - where necessary - to optimise working conditions and minimise and/or prevent possible harm to health.
