Description :

Study of human reliability in risky occupational environments with a view to improving working conditions and well-being. The objectives are:

- to devise an incident reporting system for medical establishments.
- to analyse the ethical and legal problems raised by implementing such a system.
- to create a databank.
- to develop quantitative and qualitative incident analysis methods.
- to analyse the aetiology and predict - to the extent possible - the occurrence of such incidents.
- to come up with appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
- to disseminate the results with the creation of a feedback system involving all levels of society (individual, local, institutional, occupational, industrial, and societal) and national and international policy-makers.
- to institute a health & safety culture based on feedback on experiences and accident and error analysis.
