Description :

Orthostatic ‘intolerance’ (OI), an important physiological consequence of human space flight, is primarily characterized by a fall in stroke volume in the upright position after landing. The aims of this study are to asses the relative contribution of (1) autonomic baroreceptor responses and (2) circulatory adjustments in different topographic vascular beds to the mechanism of OI.
