Description :

We propose a series of tests to be performed on the ground and during orbital space flight. The experiments are based on a large body of results taken from experiments performed on Earth as well as during parabolic flights campaigns. The experiments will target specific questions about the effects of gravity on dexterous manipulation, questions that cannot be addressed in the normal terrestrial environment. The research proposed in this project will contribute to our understanding of how the human nervous system controls movement. Data from these experiments may also be used to identify potential hazards for astronauts as they move between gravitational environments.
