The aim of this programme, implemented by BELSPO in collaboration with the FPS Public Health, is to build scientific knowledge on the social consequences of the COVID crisis in order to draw the necessary lessons for the federal government. This also in preparation for a possible future pandemic. Belgian scientists were invited to submit a project within one or more of the four themes of this call: Wellbeing, Inequalities and Vulnerabilities, Democratic Governance and Pandemic Intelligence.
For this programme, a budget of 7M€ was set of which 5M€ was allocated to themes Welfare, Inequalities and Vulnerabilities and Democratic Governance themes and 2M€ to the theme Pandemic Intelligence theme.
