Scientific and Technical Information
1. Search of the professional literature
On request, the SIST searches for what has been published on a specific subject in the worldwide professional literature. The result of this literature search is a list of references and summaries of articles, patents, standards, technical reports… If so desired the SIST will regularly check all new publications.
2. Search for factual data
Aside from references to publications the SIST also searches for factual data such as CAS registry numbers, physical-chemical properties of compounds or materials.
3. Copies of scientific publications
The SIST provides copies of articles from magazines, patents, standards, conference reports, other reports, etc. The SIST can also search for documents that are particularly difficult to trace.

Information and data in the area of science policy, including:

Structured list of websites relating to research, development and innovation in Belgium (including information sources on jobs for scientists, organizations that provide grants and funding, science policy consultation and advisory bodies, European and international cooperation… )
