Shear-driven liquid film evaporator for Microgravity

Description :

The main goals for this project are:

- To verify procedure to have a gas shear-driven liquid film flow in Microgravity conditions;
- To study (visualization by video) dynamics of two-phase flow in shear-driven film evaporator;
- To investigate in Microgravity conditions peculiarities of the non-uniformly heated liquid film dynamics driven by the gas flow (3-D deformations) in presence of intensive thermocapillary convection;
- To study conditions of film rupture and critical heat flux in intensively evaporating volatile thin liquid film flowing over a planar surface with localized heater.
