Project file - Satisfaction study among French-speaking guided group visits of the Cinquantenaire Museum

Commissioner

  • The Frenchspeaking Educational service of the Cinquantenaire Museum

Research context

A significant part of the visitors to the Cinquantenaire Museum come in a group and make use of the educational services. In addition to guided tours, the museum also offers workshops.

Aim

The idea is first of all to explore whether visitors who have made use of the educational services are satisfied with this and to determine the reasons why they may choose not to use the services of the educational team (= the groups that visit the museum “autonomously”).
Besides the survey, an analysis of the figures from the reservation system will be made, and an in-depth survey is carried out among schools which used to visit the Museum in the past and have stopped doing so.

Method of data collection

Self-administered questionnaire: postal survey and online
Analysis of the data coming from the reservation system.
An in-depth survey is carried out among schools which used to visit the Museum in the past and have stopped doing so.
