Research context

The statistics generated by ticketing and CRM-systems of the different Museums are fundamental in every audience research. As such, the collection and analysis of these data is part of the monitoring of the different Federal Museums and the Planetarium. These figures are of importance for defining the goals and the vision for these institutions generally and for developing a policy on audience development more in particular.

Aim

Several FSI are looking for a new integrated ticketing and CRM-system. As the statistics coming from these systems are crucial to our visitors analyses, the Observatory takes the initiative to start a series of consultations and meetings in order to:

  1. Have an exchange of expertise and (good) practices on the matter
  2. Organise a collective trajectory for the market-research (preparations in function of the procurement procedure, looking at applications in other Museums, organising demonstrations held by the providers of ticketing-and reservation systems)
  3. To see if this can possibly end up in a collective buying and a common procurement procedure.
