Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage
The Royal
Institute for Cultural Heritage is dedicated to the study and
the conservation of the artistic and cultural assets of the country.
As a Federal scientific institute, its mission consists in research and
public service.
Three departments associate historians of art, photographers, chemists, physicists and conservators-restaurators in a multidisciplinary approach of art works:
- Documentation: inventory and photography studio, databases, valorization and communication
- Laboratories: materials and technics, methodology of conservation and monuments maintenance
- Conservation and restoration : paintings, sculptures and art industry
