Several of our activities are focused on a continuous broadening and deepening of the network of users and developers of ISD, by enhancing the general understanding of the challenges and threats to be addressed when constructing or working with ISD. In order to achieve these objectives, the platform periodically organizes a series of activities, including the elaboration and organisation of :
Seminars aim at building a common knowledge about ISD in Belgium (actors involved in indicators research and development), in order to favour the debate on the links between decision processes and indicators.

On transversal (e.g. methodological) issues regarding ISD.

From Gothenburg to Brussels :
Links between indicator processes at the European and Belgian levels
On the six thematic priorities of the EU Sustainable Development Strategy.
CONFERENCES
The objectives is to favour exchanges between the scientific,
political, administrative, civil society actors with a view to link scientific
capacities to concrete needs.
WORKING PAPERS
The Platform provides working papers on a series of issues raised by ISD.
NEWSLETTER
The Newsletter of the Platform is dedicated to : developers and users of Indicators for Sustainable Development and also interested people. It contains 4 categories : "Platform news"; "Belgium News"; "International News" and "Agenda".
METHODOLOGICAL SUPPORT
The Platform provides a methodological support to public institutions in relation to experience in
methodological indicators ("indicators" pilot group of the Sustainable
Development Interdepartmental Commission).
