| Description nl | De meeste studies die tot nu toe in de literatuur beschikbaar zijn, hebben de 3-D veranderingen in orthognathische patiënten op korte termijn beoordeeld. Dus de doelstelling van de studie zou zijn om de langdurige veranderingen in hard en zacht weefsel in orthognathische patiënten te evalueren en te kwantificeren. Dit zou ons een beter begrip geven met betrekking tot de verschillende veranderingen in het skelet- en zachte weefsel na de operatie en profiteren ons van een passend behandelingsplan dienovereenkomstig. Op basis van de beschikbare gegevens zou er op basis van de beschikbare gegevens een voorspellend model ontwikkeld kunnen worden voor behandelingsplanning in orthognathische chirurgie, waardoor een chirurg het pre-operatief resultaat van de operatie kan voorspellen, waardoor complicaties tijdens de operatie vermeden worden . |
| Description en | Most of the studies available in literature so far have assessed the 3-D changes in orthognathic surgery patients at a short-term level. So the objective of the study would be to evaluate and quantify long-term hard and soft tissue changes in orthognathic surgery patients. This would give us a better understanding with regards to the various skeletal and soft tissue changes after the surgery and benefit us in making an appropriate treatment plan accordingly. At the same instance, based on the available data, a state of art predictive model for treatment planning in orthognathic surgery would be developed, which will enable a surgeon to predict the outcome of the surgery pre-operatively, thereby, avoiding complications during the surgery. |
