Dehairs Frank
Professor, Dr

Dehairs Frank started his research career with the study of barium and barite in suspended matter from the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans in the framework of the GEOSECS Programme. As a Post Doc in the mid eighties he became strongly involved in studies related with the functioning and strength of the biological carbon pump in the Southern Ocean (he participated in seven S.O. expeditions in co-operation with French, German, Australian and US research groups), using tracers and proxies. His research group has developed expertise for sampling and analysis of trace elements and stable isotopes.
