Research project IT/IF/007 (Research action IT)
Three modules will be developed in the first stage within an object-oriented environment, namely a dialogue planner, a module to determine the complexity of the dialogue and a user model. Together, these modules provide the possibility of adapting each man-machine dialogue to suit the needs of the individual user AND the situation. The methods and instruments will be implemented and evaluated during a second (shorter) stage (to this end, wide use will be made of the results of the GRADIENT and PROMISE projects implemented within the framework of the ESPRIT programme).
