06.05.2025 - Final Results of the MLE on Public Engagement

Between January 2024 and April 2025, the European Commission organised, in collaboration with independent experts, a Mutual Learning Exercise on Public Engagement in R&I. Next to Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Slovenia and Sweden, Belgium was also part of this exercise.
On the agenda were four key themes:

1. An overview of public engagement
2. Successes and challenges of public engagement
3. Public engagement and framework conditions
4. Public engagement in the European Research Area (ERA)

The final report of this MLE was published in March 2025, and presented in April 2025 during the Dissemination Event in the Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences (RBINS).
