Third Call for projects 2025-2026 ESFRI-FED – Announcement.
Belspo has published the third call in support of Federal Scientific Institutions and federal departments in ESFRI distributed and virtual research infrastructures which are in implementation or operational phase. The objective is to better position Belgium, and especially its federal level through the funding of R&D projects based on scientific excellence and EU anchorage.
The Government’s approval to launch the call is still pending. The website will not be updated between 15 July – 16 August 2025. Applicants are required to contact ESFRI-FED@belspo.be to be informed of the Government’s decision.

Second Call for projects 2023-2024 ESFRI-FED – the call is now open.
Belspo is launching a new call in support of Federal Scientific Institutions and federal departments in ESFRI distributed and virtual research infrastructures which are in implementation or operational phase. The objective is to better position Belgium, and especially its federal level through the funding of R&D projects based on scientific excellence and EU anchorage. An information session will be held on 17/02/2023.
