Günther Hasinger has a background in physics with a specialization in Extraterrestrial Physics. He has received numerous awards for his research and scientific achievements, including the Leibniz Prize of the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft, the most significant research prize in Germany, and the international Committee on Space Research (COSPAR) Award for his outstanding contributions to space science.
Prof. Hasinger took up duty as the Director of Science and Head of the European Space Astronomy Centre in Spain on 1 February 2018.
In this talk, Mr Hasinger will provide an overview of the activities conducted in the Science Programme from the European Space Agency.
