Succes stories

E! 2797 FACTORY MSETC
Mobile self-erecting tower crane
EUREKA project E! 2797 FACTORY MSETC (Mobile Self-Erecting Tower Crane) has successfully combined the technologies of mobile and self-erecting cranes to create a single crane that can do the work of five. The new crane features an anti-sway device which makes it safer as well as more efficient.

E! 1929 FACTORY FOLDHEX
New folded honeycomb cores for cardboard packaging and structural applications
Corrugated cardboard is an excellent packaging material that is widely used for transporting, storing and protecting goods. Through the new process developed by EUREKA project E! 1929 FACTORY FOLDHEX, corrugated cardboard can be transformed into a new honeycomb core that offers reduced weight, uses less raw material and achieves better crash absorption and higher compression resistance than double flute corrugated cardboard.

E! 1818 3D TOOLBOX
3d imaging toolbox for television broadcast applications
E! 1818 3D TOOLBOX developed a virtual clothes shop, a talking head interface and new 3D capture and animation techniques even though this wasn't their original aim. It began with six partners, lost two and gained three and produced results in three distinct areas, none of which were the original focus of the project!

EUREKA CHASING Individual Project
Advanced simulation methodologies for chassis&suspension engineering:optimising driving dynamics of intelligent vehicles
For the automotive industry having the ability to predict how your latest product will behave once it is on the road is important. Understanding consumer needs, and then running predictive software over possible solutions to these needs, can save manufacturers a significant amount of time and money.

E! 1503 HOLO-MODAL
Holographic modal testing system
With each new vehicle, the car industry faces a fresh battle to cut out the unwanted vibrations that cause irritating rattles and the metal fatigue that can cause parts to break, with potentially lethal consequences.
