| Description nl | Onlangs diende de UGent een octrooiaanvraag in van een veelbelovende innovatieve technologie als alternatief voor het zagen van bot tijdens knieartroplastiek chirurgie. De technologie heeft de unieke eigenschap om zachte weefsel rondom het gewricht te beschermen tegen ongewenste beschadiging. Dit project dient ter ondersteuning van de ingediende octrooiaanvraag.

| Description en | Recently, UGent filed a patent application of a promising innovative technology to improve the bone cutting process during knee arthroplasty surgery. The technology has the unique characteristic of protecting the soft tissue surrounding the joint against unintended damage. The aim of this project is to valorise the filed patent application.
