| Description nl | IVimOva project beoogt het aanbieden van een realistische fertiliteitspreventie therapie voor transmannen (vrouw -> man transgender patiënten).Een aspect van transgenderzorg, houdt in dat er zowel hormonen therapie als chirurgie aangeboden wordt bij transgender personen. Bij de transitiechirurgie van transmannen worden tevens de eierstokken weggenomen. Deze chirurgie zorgt ervoor dat deze personen onvruchtbaar worden. Als fertiliteit bewarende techniek, worden de buitenste delen van de eierstok bestaande uit de cortex met hierin de primordiale follikels ingevroren. Echter, de klinische toepasbaarheid van deze fertiliteit bewarende techniek is voor transmannen nihil aangezien deze personen geen transplantatie van dit weefsel zullen uitvoeren omwille van het feit dat er opnieuw vrouwelijke hormonen geproduceerd zullen worden in hun lichaam.

| Description en | IVimOva project aims to offer a realistic fertility prevention therapy for trans men (male -> male transgender patients). One aspect of transgender care, means that offered both hormone therapy and surgery for transgender people. The ovaries are removed at the same time in the transition of surgery trans men.
