Centre for image processing (CvB)

The multi-sensor processing, distributing and archiving facility "Centre for image processing (CvB)" is financed by BELSPO since 1998.

Initially, it was set up for the processing, distribution and archiving facility of products from the SPOT Vegetation sensor aboard the SPOT 4 and 5 satellites, which has monitored terrestrial vegetation daily at a 1 km scale until 2014.

Throughout the years the Centre evolved into an all-round data processing and distribution facility of terrestrial vegetation. Its current phase, CVB-IV, also hosts the TERRASCOPE platform, which offers Belgian citizens access to earth observation data from the Sentinel missions.
