Biodiversa+ was officially launched on 1 October 2021 for a period of 7 years. It is built on almost 20 years of legacy from BiodivERsA, the pan-European network of biodiversity in which BELSPO has participated since the beginning in 2005.
Biodiversa+ is implementing an ambitious programme to help ensure that, by 2030, nature in Europe is back on a path of recovery.
Biodiversa+ has been co-designed by the European Commission (DG Research & Innovation, and DG Environment). The Partnership currently gathers over 80 research programmers, funders and environmental policy actors from more than 40 European and associated countries.
A core activity of the Partnership is to plan and support research on biodiversity through joint - often EC co-funded- calls for research projects.
BELSPO has contributed financially to 11 pan-European calls for projects launched by biodiversa since 2008, enabling more than 40 Belgian teams to join the 147 projects selected for their high scientific quality and societal relevance.
You will find here the list of projects financed by BELSPO.
